Call To Action 2011 National Conference • November 4-6, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Call To Action’s national conference is a very special part of our Catholic experience – a safe place where issues can be debated and explored without fear of being judged. The conference is a gathering where faithful Catholics return each year to connect with kindred spirits and be energized to work for justice within our faith community.

Scripture declares that the foundation of our faith community is love. The author of First Epistle of John reminds us to have love for one another, “… for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. God is love.” (1 John 4:7-8)

This year’s conference, Living the Gospel of Love, acknowledges that if we are to be faithful to Jesus and to continue our work in bringing justice to our church and world, then everything we do must be grounded in love. This spiritual component is essential if we are to educate, inspire, and activate Catholics to act for justice and build inclusive communities.

Call To Action’s 2011 conference will showcase four extraordinary plenary speakers that include biblical scholar, Marcus Borg; Mujerista theologian, Ada Maria Isasi-Diaz; National Catholic Reporter columnist, Jamie Manson; and internationally acclaimed author, Kenneth Hardy.

In addition to these four inspirational presenters, the conference weekend will be jammed with events, presentations, exhibits, and worship opportunities that will provoke the mind and nurture the soul.

Please join us in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from November 4th-6th. Your Call To Action faith community will be there to welcome you as we work for justice and live the gospel of love.

Sincerely,

Jim FitzGerald,

Executive Director
