Wide Open Friday Applications
Authors discussing their books. Individuals leading discussions on controversial topics, conference vendors - all happening at once! You can sign up to facilitate a 30 minute round-table discussion by returning this completed application (Word Document) or emailing HeinemanCTA@cta-usa.org. The deadline for registering to host a discussion is September 1st.
Liturgy and Eucharist
“David and all Israel danced before God with great enthusiasm!” (First Book of Chronicles) The Liturgy Team invites and calls you to move in the Spirit together as we live the Gospel of Love at Conference 2011! Last year, you didn’t have to be an artist to love a prophet. This year you don’t have to be a dancer to move with the Spirit. Dance has been a form of worship for millennia. We pray with our hearts, our minds, and our bodies. So come to Conference 2011 with a free spirit, to move as you are moved and able – from your seat or in the aisles as we celebrate together!
Please check the box on your registration form if you wish to be a Eucharistic Minister, usher or member of the choir for the closing Eucharist on Sunday.
Conference for the Whole Family: Children's and Teens' Programs
Do you have children or grandchildren? Nieces or nephews? Bring them to conference! Every year, Call To Action hosts programs for family members age 3 and up. Facilitated by professional and caring staff, children and teens take part in a variety of activities geared towards their specific age level while offering them opportunities to explore the Christian message of love and justice through the conference theme. Younger children participate in arts and crafts, music, games and other fun activities. Our teen program includes opportunities to participate in conference workshops while also enjoying specific programming designed just for them. Children and teens must be pre-registered to participate in the weekend events. Schedules will be sent to each family with a registered child or teen after August 15.
